OCI is seeking a motivated and detail-loving, numbers person for our newly created Bookkeeping / Payroll Associate position.
This new role is a full-time, entry level position blended from accounting, benefits and payroll duties formerly under our HR and accounting departments.
This Bookkeeping / Payroll Associate will report to the Manager of Accounting, Payroll and Benefits.

The Role
Accounting :
- Importing and coding daily bank transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Running weekly checks and deposits
- Handling weekly AP & AR transactions
- Invoicing clients for services rendered
- Reconciling data across our systems
- Helping with month-end duties
- Assisting with annual 1099 processing, making sure we have accurate W-9s from agents
- Maintaining state incorporations and registrations
Payroll and Benefits :
- Managing basic employee data in our payroll system
- Bi-weekly timecard recordkeeping and processing
- Conduct monthly benefit audits and follow up with carriers
- Processing employee benefit changes
- Communicating with external benefit carriers
- Lending a hand with our annual OCI benefit enrollment
- Tracking employee payroll reimbursements and adjustments
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential and sensitive information
Assists with other accounting, payroll, or benefits projects when needed
Requirements
The Rock Star Candidate
- Has 2-3 years of experience in Payroll / Bookkeeping -or- degree / certicate in Accounting / Finance
- Experience with Payroll, Benefits, and QuickBooks Online is a plus, but we can teach you.
Requirements :
- Great communicator
- Super organized with a knack for details
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and to be flexible
- Familiarity with accounting, bookkeeping, or financial analysis
