Accounts Payable Specialist-Hiring Immediately! (Onsite)

Job Duties :

The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate payment of invoices while adhering to internal control procedures.

This role involves processing vendor invoices, matching them to purchase orders, verifying payment authorizations, entering data into the computer system, and generating payments.

The AP Specialist will also maintain all AP-related files, prepare reports, and provide statistical information as directed.

In this role, you will :

  • Follow three-way match procedures (PO, Receipt, and Invoice) to ensure accuracy.
  • Invoice Processing : Process invoices, expense reports, and other charges for assigned locations. Verify payment authorization and signatures.
  • Payment Generation : Generate checks, attach invoices, mail payments, and file company records.
  • Vendor Relations : Maintain vendor relationships by responding promptly and appropriately to inquiries and issues.
  • Issue Resolution : Resolve invoice issues, coordinate with purchasing or suppliers directly, and respond to calls regarding payable issues.
  • Audit Readiness : Contribute to audit readiness by maintaining accessible documentation and accurate records.
  • Data Maintenance : Maintain selected data systems including supplier information. Enter invoice information into software programs and assign to proper budgetary and vendor accounts.
  • Reporting : Prepare regular, periodic, and special accounting reports as requested.

Experience and skills required :

  • Minimum of 2 years in an accounts payable or accounting clerical role within a manufacturing accounting department.
  • Computer Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Continuous Improvement : Understanding of basic tools and concepts of continuous improvement.
  • Organizational Skills : Essential for efficient task management.
  • Problem-Solving : Ability to identify, communicate, escalate, and solve issues as they arise.

Hourly Pay : $29-$38 HR
