As the Logistics Administrator you will coordinate, prioritize and provide visibility to International Ocean and Air Import shipments.

The role entails working with freight forwarders, ocean carriers, customs brokers and over-the-road carriers to ensure timely delivery of apparel products to the DXL Distribution Center, DXL stores or direct to customers.

In addition, this position is accountable for freight invoice audit and submission to our finance department for processing.

Using your experience in retail omnichannel operations and domestic transportation from company owned and Third-Party distribution centers, you will help support DXL's mission by :

  • Directing execution of logistics activities in support of DXL sales channels
  • Assisting the Manager of Imports to ensure that import shipments are cleared and delivered on a timely basis
  • Reviewing logistics suppliers' invoices for accuracy and tracking payments with DXL Finance
  • Overseeing the onboarding plan for any new 3PL; providing reports for actual freight expense, metrics and projections
  • Providing DXL Finance Team with daily financial information for UPS / USPS postal payments
  • Working with the VP of Logistics to developing and evaluating RFPs to ensure that all logistics requirements are met in an efficient and cost-effective manner

We're looking for someone with :

  • A college degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in retail omnichannel operations and domestic transportation from company owned and Third-Party distribution centers
  • Proven experience in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments from suppliers, 3PL's and distribution centers
  • Knowledge of EDI documents and process used in Omnichannel operations
  • Working knowledge of Import and Customs processing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
