We are seeking a Director of Human Resources to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR functions and be responsible for overseeing various HR activities within the organization.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities :

  • Recruitment and Onboarding :
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle including job postings, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
  • Conduct new employee orientations and facilitate the onboarding process.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and universities.
  • Employee Relations :
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Address employee inquiries and resolve conflicts through effective mediation.
  • Promote a positive work environment and culture.
  • Performance Management :
  • Implement and manage performance appraisal processes.
  • Assist managers with setting performance goals and conducting performance reviews.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Benefits Administration :
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Conduct benefits orientations and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries.
  • Work with benefits providers to resolve issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Compliance :
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • HR Strategy and Development :
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead and participate in HR projects and initiatives.
  • Training and Development :
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
  • Conduct training sessions on HR-related topics such as compliance, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Support career development and succession planning efforts.
  • Compensation and Payroll :
  • Assist in developing and implementing compensation strategies.
  • Oversee payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely payment.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis to maintain competitive compensation packages.
  • HR Systems and Technology :
  • Manage and optimize HR information systems (HRIS).
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Generate HR reports and analytics for management review.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a generalist role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and legal regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
