Job Description :
Gallup McKinley School District is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team in a virtual or remote capacity.
As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing quality education and support to students with diverse learning needs.
This position offers the flexibility of working remotely, making it suitable for candidates both within and outside of New Mexico.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with a wide range of disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student performance and IEP goals.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and educational developments in the field of special education.
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as required.
Requirements :
- Valid New Mexico Special Education License (or the ability to apply for one if out of state).
- Home computer with high internet speed
- Must be tech savvy (we do have training for the software)
- Must provide your own liability insurance and be comfortable with 1099 pay
