Selectek is looking for a CAD Designer with experience configuring and planning commercial fire alarm, security, communications, and other low voltage systems.
You will work on both pre and post-sales system design to ensure compliance with engineered plans and specifications, and to find value-engineering and scope expansion opportunities.
You will prepare construction shop and as-built drawings using CAD software to enable system installation by the company’s technicians and our subcontractors.
Required :
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to work a full-time schedule
- At least 2 to 5 years of experience as a lead technician, estimator, systems designer, or project manager in the commercial fire alarm, electronic security, and / or other low voltage specialty
- Experience with AutoCAD / AutoCAD Certification or other design and drawing software
Preferred :
NICET and other relevant industry certifications
Job Responsibilities :
- The primary focus of this position will be to design complete and accurate life safety, security, and other low voltage systems that comply with applicable codes and project specifications
- Using AutoCAD or similar software, you will create or modify existing plans to accurately depict system design for installation
- You will be tasked with determining the most efficient system designs while considering value engineering options
- From time to time you may be asked to participate in limited pre-sales strategic account design collaboration for design-build or security consulting opportunities

Pay Range : $30 / hour - $40 / hour ($62,000 - $80,000 annual salary)
Term of assignment : 6 months temp to perm Direct hire possible
Shift : Monday to Friday, 8AM-5PM
