What you'll be doing...

This Ohio State University Co-Op position, which is part of the Verizon Campus Program, will allow you to channel your drive and enthusiasm as part of a 6-month rotation from January 13, 2025, to July 11, 2025, working a full-time schedule.

You'll be front and center, hands-on, and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive.

As a Co-Op with the 5G Engineering team, some of the projects you may work on could enhance your skills in one or more of the following areas :

5G Technology.

NFV (Network Functions Virtualization).

Using network analysis equipment to ensure network quality and regulatory standards at our network tower locations.

Resolving real-world problems and customer issues by identifying, triaging, and troubleshooting customer issues on location.

Providing solutions to technical issues associated with radio frequency engineering products.

Performing analysis in coordination with design and engineering teams to identify new network towers and small cell locations.

Performing project management activities, maintaining project trackers, and facilitating area-wide project calls.

Interacting with engineering, product groups, and finance to design and implement cost-effective solutions for a wireless network.

Working in cross-functional teams.

Developing your professional network within Verizon.

Collaborating with team members to analyze and evaluate options to optimize network coverage to improve our customer's experience.

Understanding wireless technology on a deeper protocol and procedures level and its applications (use cases).

You must be currently enrolled in a qualifying bachelor's degree program at Ohio State University and be in good academic standing to be considered.

This Co-Op position will be based out of Lewis Center, OH (Columbus, OH), and follow a hybrid work schedule as set by the manager, including work-from-home and intentional in-person days.

You'll need to have :

Ability to participate in our 6-month co-op that takes place from January 13, 2025, to July 11, 2025, working a full-time schedule.

Current enrollment in an Ohio State University Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Wireless Technologies, High-Frequency Design, Artificial Intelligence, or a related major with an expected completion date between December 2025 and June 2026.

Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.

Willingness to travel and work in an assigned Verizon office.

Even better if you have one or more of the following :

Previous Internship or Co-Op experience.

Completed coursework in calculus, physics, and / or probability / statistics.

Experience with data analytics, data science, and computer programming for analysis and automation.

Demonstrated independent thinking, relationship management, and attention to detail.

Demonstrated strong analytical, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving, team environment.
