Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week assignment in a post-acute care setting with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Work in a post-acute care environment with a mix of 50% inpatient acute care and 50% outpatient therapyServe a diverse caseload including peds through geriatrics, with orthopedic, neuro, fall risk, and general weakness casesCoverage may include inpatient, outpatient, and home care settings, with the expectation to cover at least two areasOption to work with pediatric or adult outpatient populationTypical patient load is 6-10 patients per day, depending on area coveredMonday through Friday schedule, typically 8-hour shifts from 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm, no weekends or holidays requiredEPIC used for EMR, Cerner Community Works for inpatient and outpatient charting, and Kinnser for home health chartingDuties include assessment, treatment, and care planning for a broad range of patients from peds to geriatricsOTs are expected to collaborate with COTAs for treatments as availableBlack, navy, or royal blue scrubs or business casual attire requiredStructured orientation provided, including observed procedures and graduated caseload in the first weekNegative drug screen required for all candidatesCOVID-19 vaccine is not requiredLocal candidates are accepted; local rate applies for those living within 50 milesRequirements
Current active Occupational Therapist license required if applicableMinimum 1 year recent clinical experience as an OT necessaryCurrent BLS certification requiredDiverse clinical background and ability to work in inpatient, outpatient, and / or home care settings is requiredLymphedema certification preferred but not requiredApplicants must be able to provide documentation of active state licensure at time of considerationBenefits
