Welcome to TAC! An incredibly creative and cutting-edge music program. We are seeking qualified applicants to teach the following courses in fall / spring 24-25 :
TAC 312 Audio Middleware 1 & 2
Course Description
Help students unlock the power of interactive audio design through this comprehensive course on game audio middleware, with a specialized focus on Wwise and FMOD.
As essential components in the world of game development, Wwise and FMOD serve as industry-standard middleware solutions for creating immersive and dynamic audio experiences in video games, while also providing platforms for highly creative live audiovisuals, sound installations, and scoring for film and other linear media.
Other topics may include Elias and Meta Sounds. Upon completion, students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the various roles of audio middleware, and apply middleware integration into various hands-on projects.
This course runs from the week of September 3rd to December 16th.
The courses will be taught in-person, Tuesdays - 6-7 : 50pm .
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Extensive knowledge of the subject matter and best industry practices
- Expertise with Wwise, FMOD, and other middleware packages
Preferred Qualifications
- Collegiate teaching experience
- Professional industry experience
- Knowledge of multiple styles of music
