Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant - Radiology Partners Indiana-Central

POSITION OVERVIEW

Radiology Partners, Indiana (CIR) is a subspecialty practice providing service in the Indiana towns of Terre Haute and Clinton.

The practice serves Union Health- a 380 bed, level III trauma facility and Clara Fairbanks Women’s Center in Indiana, a Tort Reform state.

RP IN-CIR is a boutique sub-specialized, diversified, state of the art private practice.

Radiology Partners Indiana CIR is seeking a Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant, with CBRPA or ARRT certification , who will assist the attending Radiology team in the management of patients at Union hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Responsible for participation in departmental and hospital programs for quality assessment and improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations, and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with Radiology Partners goals.

POSITION SUMMARY

Schedule Monday Friday 7 : 30am 4 : 00pm EST

Perform or assist with the following procedures :

• Fluoroscopy procedures
• PICC Lines
• Paracentesis / thoracentesis
• Lumbar Punctures
• FNA Bx
• Perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose, and treat illnesses and / or injuries
• Develop and implement patient management plans and record progress notes
• Perform history and physical examinations of Interventional Radiology patients
• Field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of the patients
• Educate patients on their medical care
• Other duties as assigned

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Licensed as a Radiology Physician Assistant in the state of Indiana
• Graduate AMA accredited program
• Certification Board for Radiology Practitioner Assistants (CBRPA) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification REQUIRED
• Critical Care experience a plus
• Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants or ANCC
• Certified to perform Basic Life Support and ACLS
