A national wholesale restaurant supplier, is currently seeking an experienced Meat / Provisions Buyer to join our West Coast Corporate offices located in Santa, Ana CA.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in the food service distribution industry.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with a broad line food service distributor and be highly knowledgeable about daily market trends, local suppliers, and vendors.
A comprehensive understanding of meat and provisions is essential for this role. Additionally, knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) principles is highly desirable.
Key responsibilities for this position include conducting cost analysis, controlling margins, negotiating with vendors, and managing the ordering process.
The candidate should be proficient in all facets of procurement, ensuring that high-quality products are consistently sourced and supplied.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar environment, with a solid background in purchasing and procurement, is required.
The candidate should have a proven track record of effectively managing procurement processes and vendor relationships within a wholesale operation.
Experience in analyzing market trends and making informed purchasing decisions is also crucial.
We are a wholesale operation that is not open to the general public. This role is based out of our corporate offices in Santa Ana, CA, and offers a competitive salary range of $80K to $94K, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
