Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct consultations with potential clients to assess their legal needs and secure their representation.
- Provide expert legal advice on various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, domestic violence, and property division.
- Represent clients as the lead attorney (1st chair) in court proceedings, including mediation, depositions, and trials.
- Develop and implement effective case strategies aligned with clients' goals and best interests.
- Prepare and draft essential legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, agreements, and court orders.
- Negotiate settlements and manage disputes in both contested and uncontested family law cases.
- Mentor and train junior attorneys and support staff, fostering their professional development and growth.
- Stay updated on Colorado Family Law statutes and regulations to ensure accurate and effective case handling.
- Maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and empathetic support.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing with the Colorado State Bar.
- 4+ years of experience in family law, with a focus on divorce, child custody, domestic violence, and related matters.
- Expertise in Colorado Family Law statutes (required).
