Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is looking for a Trenchless Engineer to join our Atlanta or Denver office (remote considered). This position will focus on executing comprehensive design and consulting services for trenchless pipeline projects, with a particular focus on encroachment projects requiring relocation of existing pipelines.

This unique position will allow the candidate to apply knowledge and skill sets across multiple disciplines, including trenchless, pipeline, transportation, and right-of-way services.

The chosen candidate must be self-motivated, accountable, responsible, reliable, and have strong abilities to work autonomously.

The targeted individual is highly motivated towards meeting project and team requirements, technical advancement, and continuous improvement.

Consideration for the position requires the following certifications or experience :

  • degree in mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, petroleum engineering or related discipline
  • Ability and desire to obtain a Professional Engineering License (currently licensed a plus)
  • 5 to years of experience in a related engineering discipline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license

What you’ll be doing :

  • Leading engineering efforts for various trenchless and pipeline projects across the .
  • Visiting projects sites and evaluating the surficial features to consider during design
  • Analyzing information from multiple disciplines, for instance transportation plans, to understand, identify and define project constraints, potential challenges and design considerations.
  • Performing feasibility analyses of trenchless crossings with a strong focus on constructability
  • Developing site specific solutions for clients around trenchless crossings and pipeline designs while also utilizing transportation based knowledge
  • Preparing construction-ready plans, details, and calculations for installation and reviewing the work of others
  • Supporting teams and projects by complying with project technical requirements and design constraints
  • Participating in the conceptual development of site designs and aid in its organization, scheduling, and implementation
  • Designing alternatives to solve constructability and site challenges
  • Creating and maintaining project documentation related to project design and development
  • Communicating with project development and project management teams
  • Providing consulting expertise to clients to address immediate needs and long-term strategies
  • Continuously advancing and improving your personal skill sets and chosen career path.
