Duties :
- Provide expert legal advice on property and casualty insurance coverage issues, including policy interpretation and claims disputes.
- Handle complex insurance coverage matters, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and effectively representing clients' interests.
- Address bad faith insurance issues, including investigations, negotiations, and litigation as necessary.
- Draft and review legal documents, including coverage opinions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and resolve insurance-related issues.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers to manage and resolve claims.
- Collaborate with team members and work independently on client matters, demonstrating strong client service and a proactive approach.
- Utilize federal clerkship or state appellate clerkship experience (if applicable) to enhance legal strategies and case management.
Requirements :
- 4-6 years of experience in insurance coverage law, with a strong understanding of property and casualty insurance issues.
- Experience in handling bad faith insurance matters is preferred.
- Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- Federal clerkship or state appellate clerkship experience is a plus.
- Admission to practice in Georgia is preferred, but the firm will consider strong candidates seeking to relocate to Atlanta.
Education :
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
