Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director to join our dynamic team to manage our Transition Services arm of Dynasty Financial Partners.
This leader will play a pivotal role in managing and facilitating the transition services team and strategizing processes for new and existing clients.
They will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, and advisors and clients to ensure a seamless transition experience, leveraging their expertise to address challenges, streamline processes, and enhance client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Client Onboarding and Transition Management :
- Oversee and manage the Transitions team & process for new clients and advisor teams, ensuring all team members are completing tasks / projects with accurately and within established timelines.
- Strategize with advisors / RIAs who are interested in Dynasty’s services, to understand their unique needs, goals, and preferences, and develop customized transition plans to meet those needs
2. Process Optimization :
- Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the transition process.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive transition documentation, including timelines, checklists, and status reports.
- Partner with other leaders to develop strategy on best practices for the transition services team’s ability to provide value to Dynasty’s partners.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Work closely with internal teams and other leaders, including Operations, Compliance, Technology, and support staff, to coordinate and execute transition activities.
- Act as a liaison between advisors, clients, and internal departments to address and resolve any issues that arise during the transition process.
- Be a contributing member of the management team and work closely together on initiatives that drive the business.
4. Client and Advisor Support :
- Lead the project management process and, where needed, provide proactive support and guidance to advisors and clients throughout the transition process, addressing any concerns or questions that may arise.
- Guide team members on execution of all transition-related tasks, including account setup, data migration, and client communication, are completed accurately and efficiently.
5. Project Management :
- Be the strategic leader whose team can manage multiple transition projects simultaneously, ensuring that each project is completed on time and within scope.
- Monitor progress, track milestones, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Ability to lead, delegate, assign and follow up on projects.
6. Training and Development :
- Develop and deliver training materials and resources to support advisors and clients during the transition process.
- Develop onboarding and training for new employees joining the Transition Services team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continuously improve transition processes.
7. Team Development and Management :
- Build and develop a high-performing team, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to foster professional growth and maximize employee engagement.
- Provide ongoing feedback and develop employees on the Transition Services team.
- Cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the transitions department and across the organization.
Requirements :
- Experience leading transitions of advisors from one company to another, incorporating all aspects of asset transfers and advisor onboarding.
- At least 4 years of experience as a people leader of a project management / transition and / or implementation team.
- Proven experience in project management, client service, or a related role within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of financial products, services, and regulatory requirements. Wealth Management experience would be ideal.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment as a strategic leader.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM and financial planning software.
