Job Summary :
The CNC Machinist III produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Essential Functions :
- Understand work orders, blueprints, manufacturing orders, and machining parameters
- Validate material used
- Maintain specifications; Troubleshoot, detect malfunctions and take appropriate actions; Know when to replace worn tools
- Listen to machining operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and compensate for problems
- Measure dimensions of finishedwork pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, fixturesand knowledge of GDT standards
- Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions taken thus far as well as any necessary further steps
- Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
Non-Essential Functions :
Maintain conscientious work behaviors including work ethic, safety standards, quality, costs, and On-Time Delivery (OTD)
Minimum Qualifications :
- Experience : 5+ year ofexperience machiningwith CNC Mills and / or Lathe
- Knowledge : Knowledge of various inspection equipment i.e. micrometers, calipers, and height gages; Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations;
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensional Tolerancing; Understanding of cutting tool Geometry; Knowledge of tooling and coordination
Skills / Abilities : Able to work quickly and efficiently throughProcess Improvement structure; Good verbal and written communication;
Strong attention to detail andaccurate record keeping
- Education / Certification : High School Diploma or equivalent
- Eligibility Requirement : This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications :
- Understanding of CNC G Code
- Understanding of basic Math, Geometry and Trigonometry
- Excellent teamwork skills
Working Conditions :
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to : eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel / wrist straps and any other required PPE
- May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
- Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary
- Standing : 100% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
- Sitting : 0% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
- Lifting (in pounds) : up to 30 pounds
- Pushing (in pounds) : up to 50 pounds
- Mental / Visual : use of microscope, computer and blueprints
- Workspace : clean bench, measuring table

Salary range : $25.95 to $43.13. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications.
Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
