Job Description and Duties

Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department, is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-Time Registered Dietitian.

The positions are under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Nutrition Services.

  • Major tasks, duties, and responsibilities include but are not limited to; completing nutritional assessments for patients;
  • providing nutrition counseling for individual patients and / or patient groups; developing patient nutrition care plans;

completing diet menus; providing in-service educational sessions for staff; and performing other tasks as assigned. Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is required.

The position(s) require(s) a Drug Screening be passed prior to being hired.

Working Conditions

Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area.

The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
