What You'll Do :
As Health, Safety, and Environmental Services Manager, you'll lead and be at the forefront of our innovation, providing strategic and tactical leadership in the development and implementation of facility Safety & Health programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, corporate / industry standards that are consistent with Lubrizol’s HSES philosophy.
You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.
Your work will directly impact the health, safety, and wellbeing of Lubrizol employees.
What We're Looking For :
- Oversee Safety & Health compliance for the facility by managing programs, initiatives, and metrics in support of Responsible Care Management System / RC14001 and company goals.
- Manage the department staff of professionals & specialists to execute processes and policies, ensuring facility compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Create an enriching work environment and support staff growth and development through regular engagements and job assignments.
- Identify, prioritize, and implement department activities that align with facility goals and objectives.
- Drive accountability by establishing standard work practices and procedures, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in Safety & Health results.
Skills That Make a Difference :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Safety & Health Management, Environmental Health, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- 5+ years of HSES Management experience in chemical processing / manufacturing environments.
- 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience leading / managing cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience and results actively leading Process Safety Management.
- Demonstrated experience and results in leading & managing safety programs including Control of Work & Contractor Safety.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in leading incident investigations and root case analysis.
- Experience working in and leading industrial safety and health programs (RCMS / RC14001).
- Demonstrated leadership experience with embedding HSES processes and requirements in self-directed work system.
- Experience with Microsoft Office
Considered a Plus :
- Operations, Engineering, or Production leadership experience
- Experience with SAP
- Certified Safety Profession (CSP)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- Certified Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST)
- Radiation Safety Officer (RSO)
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
