Position Information
Applications or nominations are currently being accepted for the General Associate Accreditation position in the School of Business and Technology at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
The position(s) is a temporarily funded contractual appointment. The School of Business and Technology is looking for Subject Matter Experts with backgrounds in program level accreditation. Responsibilities
- Review current program-level accreditation standards with the academic program through interactive sessions and be able to answer questions posed by faculty,
- Meet with the department faculty to understand the current program baseline, and support the degree program to complete a self-assessment against given program-level accreditation standards.
- Identify a clear action plan that is designed to take the academic program from its current baseline to self-assessment submission, present the action plans to the educational program faculty with clear timelines and agreed-on roles and responsibilities, provide periodic check-ins with the department to gain a status of progress made against action plans and provide ad hoc guidance where required, and give reports on academic program status quo.
Classification 25- Education, Training, and Library Occupations Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in either engineering, technology, hospitality and tourism management, construction, or other relevant fields.
- Five or more years of professional experience in engineering, technology, hospitality and tourism management, or construction management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidate must have a doctorate in either business, engineering, technology, hospitality and tourism management, construction, or other relevant field.
- Ten or more years of professional experience in either engineering, technology, or construction management.
- Candidate should have specific experience with the program-level accreditation for the academic program.
