Summary :

The Field Service Technician III - Traveler will assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities.

This work includes preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets such as solar panels, trackers, and power inverters.

Requirements :

• Takes direction from senior site personnel.
• Sets positive example for and mentors junior technicians
• Troubleshoots low voltage DC power systems.
• Troubleshoots low voltage, medium voltage, and high voltage AC power systems.
• Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems.
• Identifies faulty or underperforming equipment.
• Uses hand tools effectively and appropriately.
• Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and consumables.
• Assist in development of site operating procedures.
• Follows site safety plan and safe work practices.
• Adheres to proper Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) practices and procedures.
• Interfaces with project stakeholders (owners, equipment manufacturers, etc.).
• Interfaces with project subcontractors.
• Represents RES in professional manner to project stakeholders.
• Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies.
• Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
• Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
• Presets, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.

Qualifications :

• High school / GED General Education required.
• Associate degree Related Technical Degree preferred.
• Certification OSHA 10 / 30 preferred.
• Certification FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot preferred.
• 4+ years or more Related electrical maintenance experience required.
• 2+ years or more Medium voltage electrical work experience required.
• 1 year or more High voltage electrical work experience preferred.

• Ability to reside with a maximum commuting distance of 60 miles from a major airport, preferably Denver, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta.
• Functional Competencies Include : Collaboration, Attention to Detail, Ethics & Integrity, Communication and Prioritization.
• Domestic travel 76-100% required.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Anticipated base salary range : $34.13 - $39.90

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
