Clinical Therapist Lead- MAT Clinic

This position provides clinical supervision to designated Clinical Therapists and Behavioral Health Associates within the Linden Oaks Outpatient programs assisting in the resolution of operational and patient care concerns under the direction of the department Manager.

Supports program development and process improvement with the designated treatment team. Provides staff education related to clinical skill development and in the orientation of new employees.

Provides clinical care, crisis stabilization, and case coordination to patients who need continued behavioral health care.

In collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, assesses immediate and ongoing needs of the patient, provides acute behavioral interventions and offers recommendations for continued care options.

Prepares and updates medical records including plan of care. Determines collateral supports, available resources and patient and family response to recommendations.

This role is in Ongoing Addiction Recovery Services, facilitating groups 2-3 times per week (4-5PM and 6-7PM) and meeting with patients individually.

Required Education, Skills and / or Experience :

• A Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health or higher
• Minimum of three years of experience in a behavioral health
• Knowledge of developmental psychology, disease pathology and clinical needs of assigned population
• Ability to maintain information which is highly confidential
• Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation
• Must be able to demonstrate self-control in volatile or hostile situations
• Must be able to set therapeutic limits and maintain therapeutic distance with clients; maintains therapeutic boundaries with patients during treatment and following discharge

Preferred Education and / or Experience :

• Behavioral health experience in an outpatient and / or private practice setting
• CADC

Required License and / or Certification :

• Current State of Illinois licensure e.g. LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) or Clinical Psychologist (Psy D / Ph D)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of start date
