Internal Auditor

We are looking for an Internal Auditor to join the Audit and Regulatory Examinations Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing audits of actual practices to identify any gaps from policies and procedures, and industry best practices.

The candidate will also have strong investigative skills, the ability to work independently, the willingness to work with various lines of business, and be adaptable to change.

This position requires strong leadership, prioritization and analytical skills, willingness to tackle new and difficult challenges, and to take ownership of the learning process.

The candidate will work closely with various teams within Compliance, including Know Your Customer (KYC), Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), Sanctions, Fraud and Risk, etc.

In this role, you will be responsible for :

• Objectively assess Tipalti’s business processes by conducting internal audits of functions identified in the Audit Plan to identify reportable issues and gaps, and assess risk
• Provide substantial support by gathering information, and meticulously documenting processes and systems to review the adequacy of internal controls
• Support the evolution of a robust Audit Plan in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and relevant government laws, regulations, and statutes, ensuring Tipalti’s compliance with all
• Engage and work with a team of Internal Audit professionals based in multiple locations
• Ensure delivery of high-quality audit reports in a timely manner
• Present any issues / findings to Management and offer input for mitigation
• Conduct post-audit follow up, ensuring that any identified issues are addressed, and recommendations made during audits are implemented
• Support projects which are crucial for Tipalti’s compliance status and security level
• Support ad-hoc programs and initiatives as deemed necessary by management
• Research and stay abreast with applicable regulatory requirements
• Maintaining a strong level of independence, organizational and time management skills with a high focus on attention to detail
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to socialize findings and mitigants with management, involved teams, and stakeholders
• Establish effective working relationships with internal teams and stakeholders

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business or similar
• 3 years of experience in relevant internal / external audit space
• A sense of urgency and aptitude for multi-tasking, quickly identifying issues, and escalating to the appropriate level for resolution
• Great analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver results proactively, resourcefully, and methodically
• Strong writing, research, and analysis / investigation skills
• Capability to document relevant information in a clear, structured, and comprehensive way while demonstrating attention to detail
• Familiarity with Google and Microsoft products
• Working Knowledge of Salesforce
• Excellent team player with strong work ethic
• Successful as self-starter and in team environments
• Strong interpersonal communication and emotional intelligence
• Communicates in a clear, accurate, persuasive, and confident manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Ability to think outside the box to drive solution-mindedness
