- Now Hiring! Position : *Payroll / Benefits Specialist*Location : *Lafayette, CA*Pay Range : *$60K / - $72K Annual*Responsibilities : Prepares, reviews, and processes bi-weekly payroll.
- Responds to questions from staff regarding payroll or personnel matters.* Addresses problems (such as incomplete payroll and personnel paperwork) with the appropriate department and assists in problem resolution.
- Ensures paperwork and reports are complete, accurate, and processed in a timely manner.* Complies with payroll and personnel policies & procedures while also following governmental and agency requirements.
- Follows up to ensure incomplete paperwork or inappropriate requests are addressed in accordance with established policies and procedures * Researches and gathers data on payroll and / or personnel information and activities.
- Prepares standard and ad hoc reports for management.* Conducts preliminary analysis of data as needed.* Completes required administrative work.
- Responds to agency requests. * Enters wage levies and garnishment amounts into employee payroll deductions.* Responds to employee and external inquiries in a shared email inbox.
- Maintains internal tracking system for various payroll and personnel activities.* Generates reports of payroll and personnel activity as necessary.
- Informs employees of their benefits eligibility and ensures the insurance broker is informed of any changes. * Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
