To thrive as a Make & Ship Operator, you will coordinate and transfer finished goods from manufacturing to distribution.
You must be able to safely operate a forklift and or reach truck to move and store materials. Every day you will receive pallets from the filling department and transfer the finished goods to either the distribution warehouse or stage for an outgoing truck.
You will start off by performing the safety checklist for your power industrial vehicles (PIV). Throughout your shift, you will use a scan gun to direct and coordinate moving finished goods from the filling department to the truck or staging areas.
Basic computer skills are required as you will be creating the Bill of Lading (BOL). Based on production needs, you may be asked to help in the Receiving Department.
All team members are expected to help keep their workstations safe and clean at all times, which includes the staging and dock area.
Required Skills :
A high school diploma or GED is required.
A commitment to safety. We are very proud of our safety record and want you to be a part of that.
Basic knowlege of computer system, SAP preferred.
Physical ability. You’ll be lifting individual paint cans or sometimes full cases of 4 cans, which can weigh up to 75 pounds.
This will happen several times a day.
Here is What We Offer You :
Make & Ship Operator starts at $20.50 / hr. Team members will receive a $1 / hr increase at 6 months of employment and another $1 / hr increase at one year of employment.
All off shifts also receive $3 / hr shift differential.
