Member of the Payroll team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of company's payroll. Performs, maintains, and incorporates Workday system changes, upgrades, and policy changes.

Responsible for all functional Workday system documentation and testing related to new processing and revisions. Assists Payroll Manager with upgrade and testing schedules and payroll processes, including reviewing test results, and coordinates with Benefits, P&D (HR) and other groups dependent upon Workday.

This is a hybrid role on our Fenton, MO campus (3 days per week - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Runs and checks all payroll related jobs for weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll processing, which includes multiple interfaces to outside vendors, internal resources, and ACH transmission.

Assists the Financial department with general ledger reconciliation and other financial account reconciliations, which includes requesting ad-hoc reports and developing Excel spreadsheets as back-up.

Monitors monthly processes.

Reviews Workday Benefits, Payroll, Time and HR system updates to determine impact on functional processes. Verifies and evaluates program specifications once updates are installed in Sandbox region, through test payroll runs to gain results and impact.

Works closely with HR Technical Support and Payroll department to identify and correct errors.

Annual Worker's Compensation Audit report. Various projects as determined by the department. Develops and updates all payroll processing, and payroll procedural documentation.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of payroll processing or HRIS experience.
  • Workday experience or automated systems experience required.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a multi-task environment.
  • Must be a self-starter to proactively identify business improvement areas, solve problems and streamline processes.
  • Ability to be flexible, set priorities, work independently, maintain confidentiality, and work well within a team environment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUP's, ifs, sumifs and pivot tables are required.
