Job Summary
The Identity & Access Management Specialist role will ensure appropriate physical and logical access to UMC systems, applications, and sensitive physical areas.
This is achieved by performing accurate and timely user account administration and interfacing with business units to minimize access-related security risks.
The position will also participate in compliance efforts, access management projects, and process improvement activities under the guidance of the ISO.
Job Specific Responsibilities
Daily assignments may include but are not limited to :
- Maintain personnel and facility security clearance information
- Manage access control applications (both physical and logical)
- Conduct and maintain Security Profile Assessments to ensure security clearance levels are appropriate for each position.
- Interface with HR, physical security, and other department directors to understand access needs
- Maintain security camera system to ensure availability and data integrity
- Maintain infant tracking system
- Coordinate with the various system vendors when required to ensure 99% up time and mitigate issues as they occur
- Troubleshoot user access issues and provide timely resolution
- Assist with the identification of improvements to overall user access request processes
- Provide on-call support on a rotating basis for urgent issues, including after-hours support
- Monitor the compliance with the established rules and regulations.
- Ensure procedures and knowledge articles are kept timely and relevant for each application and process
- Regularly meet with application owners and the physical security director to ensure continuity and understanding between teams
- All other duties related assigned responsibilities
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of experience with Information Technology concepts and applications
Required Licensures / Certifications / Registrations
Security + is required within 12 months of being hired into the role

Requires interaction with UMC employees, medical staff, and technical personnel and vendors
Physical Capabilities
Position requires walking, sitting, and standing while on duty. Occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 pounds is required.
Adequate hand / eye coordination and fine motor skills are required.
Environmental / Working Conditions
This position is mostly subject to inside conditions which includes varying indoor temperatures
