Responsibilities

This 12-week paid internship provides experience and mentorship for biostatistics graduate students who are interested in biomarker analysis.

The intern will work with a biostatistics faculty mentor in Fred Hutch's Clinical Research Division to conduct a statistical analysis using machine learning algorithms for biomarker analysis.

The job includes validation on source code, result comparison between different methods via simulation, data analysis for a clinical trial, add / update features on R Shiny website, and manuscript preparation for publication.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled graduate student

• Basic statistical knowledge, e.g. survival analysis, high dimensional data analysis
• R-user, prefer with R Shiny background
• Strong academic background

The hourly pay range for this position is from $20.00 to $25.45 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
