The Personal and Professional Development department is seeking Noncredit Adjunct Faculty to deliver high-quality noncredit professional development courses for Lake County residents.
Noncredit Adjunct Faculty may propose, design and deliver courses that support a wide variety of professional development needs.

- Professional experience related to the curriculum being taught
- Experience presenting to groups, teaching adults, or corporate training
- Developed and / or implemented training materials
- Ability to work effectively and constructively with persons of diverse cultures, gender identities, language groups, and abilities
- Competency in technologies commonly used for virtual and in-person training
Desired Qualification(s)
- Relevant post-secondary degree in subject area being taught
- Teaching experience in higher education
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
Summary of Essential Functions
- Deliver training in subject field
- Develop instructional materials
- Maintain current knowledge of subject matter
- Adjunct Faculty members are expected to maintain current compliance training, including compliance under Title IX Responsible Employee and, if applicable, Clery Act Campus Security Authority
- Select, prepare and maintain curriculum, course outlines and instructional materials (electronic and printed)
- Deliver training as scheduled
- Deliver content using a variety of teaching styles
- Meet all trainings for the scheduled time
- Encourage learners to submit evaluations, review evaluations when available and use feedback to improve course delivery
- Revise and update training content as needed
- Maintain a high level of professional ethics
- Ensure consistent communication with program coordinators and CLC staff to ensure student needs are met and administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner
