Position Overview The Server is usually assigned to an area with multiple tables / booths and is responsible for the service for a variable number of guests throughout their shift.
Essential Job Functions Servers must be outgoing, polite, knowledgeable and courteous to be effective in our relaxed, upscale environment.
The Server is responsible for understanding menu offerings as well as ingredients, and cooking techniques associated with them, and for accurately and quickly, taking and filling orders, presenting and collecting checks, and payment as well as making accurate change.
The Server is responsible for bussing and cleaning tables for guests providing a positive experience. For staff that serves alcohol, Servers must have a strong knowledge and execution of Craft Culinary Concepts and State Liquor serving policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid TEAM, TIPs or Title 4 certificate to serve alcohol
- Must have a valid Pima County Food Handler Card on file with Craft Culinary Concepts and in your possession for each event worked
- Must be discrete and keep all information and details of guests confidential
- Must have a H.S Diploma or equivalent
- Must complete all pre-employment forms, successfully pass a background check and math assessment involving all US monetary units
- Must be able to carry fully loaded serving tray above shoulder and balance while maneuvering in tightly quartered and confined spaces
- Must be able to work with a group as well as independently
- Must have knowledge of industry standard terminology and practices
- 1-year serving experience in a semi-casual to fine dining environment
Other Skills / Abilities
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach in confined spaces
- Ability to be on feet for long periods of time up to four (4) hours in length
- Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations and around excessive noise
