About the position :

The Data Center Business Developer position requires a people-focused sales professional who builds relationships with existing and new prospects and customers for ACE products in the datacenter ecosystem.

This professional will collaborate with the bid engineering team, who will support solution design and quoting, provide technical direction that encompasses market trends and innovation, and share business feedback with management to ensure visibility on activities and existing opportunities, to include the following :

Creates a business development plan based on the company strategy and targets.

Is active in the market and focus on interactions with new and existing customers, highlighting the value of Alfa Laval product and service portfolio.

Leads new initiatives to increase market awareness and generate new leads such as tradeshows, webinars, site visits.

Holds seminars and trainings for key stakeholders, educating and developing their staff to be more knowledgeable about the product.

Engages with the marketing team to create materials and content for the product portfolio managed.

Grows Alfa Laval’s reputation in Data Center market as a thought leader and technology provider through active social media, trade event speaking engagements and other activities as required.

Collaborates with the data center team to build account strategies that align to customer business requirements and goals.

Coordinates and supports the Business Unit to analyze and prioritize the business opportunities to achieve expected business growth.

Acquires product-specific technical knowledge to support contact with stakeholders and to demonstrate benefits of the technologies offered by internal induction programs, workshops, professional publications, and participating in professional societies.

Identifies and helps reducing barriers to increase market penetration and expanded market share.

Captures and follows through with new leads and project data within CRM software, providing business visibility and enable data-driven decision-making processes.

Complies with all company policies and procedures.

Conducts themselves in a considerate, professional, cooperative, and helpful manner toward fellow employees, customers, vendors and visitors.

What you know :

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred with data center industry experience, to include the following :

Demonstrated sales experience preferred.

Ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally at approximately 50% of time.

Ability to visit customer sites which include industrial sites with stairs, ladders and other equipment.

Experience with MS Office Suite.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to speak with customers and coworkers on a regular basis.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and operations.

The base salary for this role is typically $81,590 - $116,557
