Responsibilities
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I (Part-time), internally referred to as our Rad Tech I at Providence Medical Center a member of Prime Healthcare in Kansas City, KS.
Focus will be on conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes.
An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.
Shift Available : Variable - Sat (Days), Sun and Mon (Evenings)
Employment Type : Part-Time
Shift Hours : 8 Hour shift (24 hrs per week, Sat, Sun and Mon)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to) :
perform Diagnostic Radiographic or other procedures according to department protocols, while cross training as a CT Tech
- responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
- interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
- maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
- stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
- operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
- maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- registered in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State of Kansas RT licensure, or temporary permit issued by KS State Board of Healing Arts upon hire
- ARRT-R is required
- must be familiar with State and Federal regulations
- current BCLS (AHA)
- graduate of an accredited radiology technology program required, JRCERT accreditation preferred
- at least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
- proficient computer skills
