At Valdera, we want to make it effortless for innovators and manufacturers to source the right materials from the right places.

We’re led by a vision to get high quality physical products in the hands of millions of consumers across the world.

This person will drive immediate value by overseeing key operational strategies and helping drive project execution across the team.

The ideal candidate enjoys stepping outside of their comfort zone, has proven success independently navigating ambiguity, and thrives in an unstructured environment.

The majority of your time will be spent proactively discovering problems, finding a simple path forward, and solving (or preventing) them all the way through resolution.

You will interface with Valdera executives and leaders on a day-to-day basis and will help drive alignment across the team.

This role will require a can-do attitude and a belief that anything is learnable.

OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Meet with executives and leaders across the business to identify key opportunities, problems, and risks. Break down any problem or complex situation into a simple plan of action.
  • Independently identify and learn the skills required to execute the plan or efficiently solve the problem (for example : visual design, content writing, data analysis, etc.).
  • See projects or plans through completion to deliver measurable results.

Examples of projects that may fall under your purview :

  • Designing collateral for specific customers or enterprise deals.
  • Research projects (e.g. building a competitive landscape, or building an industry target list).
  • Helping executives plan and organize critical business meetings, social events, or gatherings (you will not be responsible for calendar management, or other logistical activities overseen by administrative staff).
  • Managing contractors, agencies, and administrative staff to organize or execute specific marketing / brand projects or events.
  • Writing thought pieces, white papers, or short blog content for our website. Building content for LinkedIn.
  • Supporting data collection or business reporting across teams for weekly & monthly business reviews.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 4-8+ years in a product, consulting, finance, or operations role. Ability to quickly identify and learn new skills required to deliver value in (almost) any business situation.
  • Experience collaborating closely with business executives and leaders.
  • Strong design eye (ability to build your own high-quality presentation materials including complex charts, illustrations, & diagrams).
  • Experience with a wide range of tools / technology products, and ability to pick up new ones easily (Examples : GSuite, Webflow, Notion, Figma, LinkedIn, Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop / Lightroom, LinkedIn Recruiter / Sales, Salesforce, MDM, Vanta, GCP, SendGrid, Amplitude, Atlassian, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • History of navigating ambiguous problems. Track record of executing with a high attention to detail.

Valdera is an equal-opportunity employer and we welcome applicants of all backgrounds. We celebrate our diverse culture and are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, skills and experience.

We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind and believe that the more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.

All employment decisions including the decision to hire, promote, discipline, or discharge, will be based on merit, qualifications and the needs of our business.
