SLR International Corporation is currently seeking a senior-level Geotechnical Engineer with project management experience to lead our geotechnical practice based in Cheshire, Connecticut office.
The Geotechnical group has extensive experience in geotechnical engineering regarding new construction and rehabilitation of buildings, pavements, rock excavation, bridges, slope stability, athletic playing fields, forensic investigations, retaining walls, dams and braced / tied back excavation support systems, from initial feasibility studies through final design including geotechnical construction-phase inspections and testing.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated level of experience in both the performance and management of the development and execution of subsurface exploration and testing programs, analysis and design of a wide variety of geotechnical engineering applications including dam investigations and design, preparation of technical reports, specifications, and plans for designing foundations, retaining walls, dams and other geotechnical aspects of construction.

Job Description Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering
- Master’s degree in civil engineering with geotechnical specialty preferred
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in geotechnical engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Connecticut
- Possess reliable transportation to travel to job sites with a valid driver’s license
- Field orientation and proven problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated project management skills

Compensation Range :
The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $100, to $120, Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
