POL-TECH Machining is looking to add an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist and Programmer to the team. We need someone who has experience in programming complex parts on the Lathe including 4th axis work on difficult to machine materials : SS and Nickel-based supers.
We are a tight knit team that work with each other to produce and machine precision parts for the aerospace and power generation gas turbine industries.
We are a job shop. Your experience in working job shop parts is critical to success here. Your role would be primarily as CNC Lathe Machinist and would consist of being able to identify tooling needs, setup jobs, run parts, and check parts.
Programming experience is a plus. We primarily work in Nickel-based super alloys and Stainless Steels. Our customers are discerning and require tight tolerances all around.
The ideal candidate takes care to be detail oriented, works well with a team environment, is passionate about machining and looking to continue to enhance his / her skillset, has had experience in all aspects of machine setup, tool selection, and parts production.

Skills Required / Desired
- Positive attitude
- Team player - capable and willing to do more as team needs and time off of parts is available (anything from cleaning and packing parts to running truck for pick-up / delivery to cleaning shop floor or organizing)
- Prompt attendance
- Desire to enhance and grow machinist / professional development skill set
- Capable of programming and operating CNC Lathe and / or CNC Mill
- Experience with job setup, tooling selection, and parts inspection
- Experience maintaining tight tolerances, within 0.005"
- Good listener - willing to listen to input and follow instructions
- Provide constructive input - willing to offer opinion and discuss manufacture approach regardless of idea adoption
