The role of Vice President, Artificial Intelligence at Alight is a senior leadership position focusing on leveraging AI technologies to drive enterprise value and innovation within the company.

Below is a breakdown of the key responsibilities and requirements for this position :

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership and Strategy :

  • Lead AI, ML, and CV departments, setting strategic direction and defining objectives aligned with the company's vision.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration within cross-functional teams.

Collaboration :

  • Work closely with other executives to integrate AI strategies across the company.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to develop advanced AI features.

Vision and Communication :

Shape and communicate the vision, roadmaps, successes, and outcomes to stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and partners.

Innovation and Development :

  • Drive the creation of new AI capabilities that are both innovative and commercially viable.
  • Oversee R&D initiatives in AI and ML, ensuring they align with strategic goals.

Partnerships :

Establish partnerships with technology, academic, and research organizations to advance AI technologies and support business growth.

Team Management :

  • Build and manage a high-performing team of AI experts, data scientists, and engineers.
  • Foster a learning environment that encourages continuous professional growth and knowledge sharing.

Requirements :

Collaboration and Solution Delivery :

Ability to collaborate with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to design and deliver effective data-driven AI solutions at scale.

Expertise :

  • Knowledge in AI, Analytics, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience across the ML landscape, including natural language processing, anomaly detection, recommendations, personalization, statistical learning theory, deep learning, and advanced analytics.

Experience :

  • Success in powering products and platforms with AI and Data Science models and operationalizing these solutions at scale.
  • 12+ years of industry experience, with at least 6+ years in leading and managing large teams in a product organization.

Education :

Master’s degree or higher in a highly quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics) or equivalent professional or military experience.

Skills :

  • Technical skills, consulting experience, and business acumen to interface with all levels and disciplines within the company and with clients.
  • Track record of innovation, managing ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience :

Experience in HR or Healthcare is preferred, given the company’s industry focus.
