What You'll Do
- Achieve the goal of zero accidents by using all protective equipment assigned and suggest safety improvements
- Produce fabricated pieces in line with customer orders and ensure that parts fit within specified parameters via testing and / or quality control checks
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
- Maintain all tools, machines, and supplies in good, safe working order Report any issues or discrepancies immediately
What You'll Need
- Two plus years of layout and welding experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with production goals
- Ability to read and understand weld symbols, pre-qualified weld designations, and Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Use of judgment to sequence welds in order to maximize efficiency and minimize weld distortion
Your Education
High School Diploma or GED preferred
