VP of Engineering

Overview

At Domify, we are building an enterprise AI platform to tackle the complex world of compliance and regulations in wealth management.

Domify leverages public and private sources of information, and proprietary workflows, to bring efficiencies to wealth management, creating significant productivity improvements and scale, driving revenue growth and creating a competitive advantage for our clients.

Domify is seeking a hands-on engineering and AI leader to implement and lead the AI and product build-out partnership with the CEO and CPO.

In this role you will work closely with early clients, subject matter experts and board advisors, leveraging your full stack engineering skills, data science expertise and Generative AI chops.

As the founding head of engineering, you will have the opportunity to build a great engineering team, and contribute directly in product design and go-to-market (GTM) endeavors.

Domify is a seed stage startup, part of the DVx Ventures platform and has received outside funding from Vestigo Ventures.

Location

As a founding engineer, expect to be in the office 3 days a week. As such, this role is suitable for New York area candidates.

What you will do :

• Build the platform : v1 of Domify’s AI platform in partnership with the Domify team and clients : making key architectural decisions, shaping the technology stack, choice of LLM orchestration approaches and solving data engineering problems
• Build the Team : You will play a vital role in identifying, recruiting, and managing a team of exceptional engineering, and AI talent.
• Hands-On Impact : You are comfortable coding as an IC, while using your experience and skill as a senior engineer to mentor and guide junior colleagues.
• Rapid Innovation : Domify works on a weekly release cadence. You are comfortable in agile environments, solving new challenges through a creative application of new technologies, and an adaptive mindset to changing client requirements

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• 8 years+ of technology work experience including 3 years + in technical leadership, spanning full stack engineering, data science and AI
• Hands-on experience with new product creation, ideally within startups.
• Domain expertise in financial services, wealth and investment management is a plus
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (BSc / MSc); a PhD is a plus.
• A successful track record in recruiting and leading motivated teams.
• Relevant experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Experience in API design / integrated products, data management, and analytics systems such as Datadog.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Agile or Scrum expertise in software development methodologies.
