The Project Coordinator for Nursing Professional Development, Practice and Innovation is responsible for a wide variety of complex administrative duties and coordinates office procedures to ensure professional and efficient operation of the Department.
Requires advanced organizational, interpersonal and project management skills, including a high degree of initiative and independent judgment to anticipate and problem solve to ensure effective operations.
Strong communication and organizational skill are required as well as sophisticated working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other learning management system (LMS) applications.
Oversees the maintenance of confidential personnel information.
Responsibilities
- Leads coordination of nursing orientation, including the assignment of on-line competencies based on role and specialty practice, the communication of orientation schedule to new hires and key stakeholders.
- Provide support to the Nursing Professional Development, Practice, and Innovation projects including educational initiatives, shared governance, academic affiliations, payroll and scheduling, compliance and / or regulatory reports.
- Supports quality data management.
- Develops and maintains databases and scheduling systems to ensure efficiency and facilitate retrieval of information.
- Creates and maintains SharePoint and or Team sites.
- Types, transcribes and proofreads reports, minutes, letters, and projects.
- Distributes meeting minutes and general correspondence in a timely manner.
- Coordinates meetings and conferences; arranges for appropriate facilities, room set up, refreshments and equipment.
- Provides general administrative support for efficient operation which may include but not be limited to screening calls, scheduling appointments, developing clerical systems for efficiency and scheduling meetings / conferences.
- Develops graphs, PowerPoint presentations and program flyers as requested.
- Submission and tracking of Purchase Orders and electronic payments for the Professional Development Department.
- Maintains sufficient office inventory to support the Professional Development Department.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 3 years of experience building educational programs within LMS may be considered in lieu of 4-year degree.
- Adheres to all I C.A.R.E. Standards.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) required.
- Experience with HealthStream LMS and Articulate and other online learning systems preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong data analysis and data display skills required.
- Must demonstrate maturity and discretion to handle confidential matters of a very sensitive nature.
