Lead Medical Assistant "Small Medical Practice"

Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of medical assistants to ensure efficient operation of the medical facility.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to medical assistant staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process of new medical assistants.
  • Oversee the implementation and adherence to healthcare protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care delivery and ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Monitor inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment, and coordinate ordering and restocking as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments as necessary.
  • Act as a liaison between medical assistants and management, conveying feedback, concerns, and suggestions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advances in medical technology to enhance the quality of care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant training program preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential preferred.
  • Proven experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting, with at least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive patient information.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules in a fast-paced environment.
