Security Officer / Gate attendant

$18.50 / hour

Current shifts available :

Full-Time :

Friday- Saturday 545am-2pm

Sunday 1pm-830pm

Monday 2pm-1030pm

Responsibilities :

More of a loss prevention job than a security job. We check vehicles in and give directions as to where their product is in the lumber yard.

When they come to exit, we check to make sure that the product that they purchased is in fact the product that they have in their vehicle or trailer.

Loss Prevention Checking orders and counting purchased product

Computers Hand held computers used, must have good understanding of computers

Product Knowledge Generally, good knowledge of the building industry and construction is required.

Walking Can be very busy in the summer months, a lot of walking required on Concrete is required.

Communication A lot of interaction with the public, must be able to communicate well

• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
• Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Report any facility issues
• Request emergency personnel for high risk situations

Qualifications :

• 18 years of age or older
• Familiarity with security equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong attention to detail
• Must possess the values important to Per Mar Security Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service, and Accountability.
• Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, background investigation.
