Solar Operations & Maintenance Lead Technician We are currently seeking a Solar Operations & Maintenance Lead Technician for an opportunity within our client’s team of experienced professionals.

Based in SoCal, with the ability to travel within San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino sites.Position SummaryAs a Solar O&M Lead Tech, you will be required to effectively lead an O&M team within a region to comply with specified requirements of the site contract uptime and preventive maintenance documentation.

You will be in charge of the day-to-day operations of the sites within your region and will work with your team to perform required inspections, regular maintenance, PM’s, and overall health of the solar farms.

In this role, you will work with upper management to provide documentation, field issue reports, PM reports, and work order reports.Essential Functions

• On-site / phone support for your team to help with troubleshooting, repair of equipment, and scheduling subcontractors for work needed to be done.
• Work with field team to schedule work throughout the week, and schedule PM tasks throughout the year.
• Perform site visits and perform safety audits on team, tools, and equipment.
• Work with upper management to assist in site visits by third parties.
• Audit teams work orders in CMMS and make sure everything is filled out properly and is clear about the site issue and the repair.
• Pull reports from CMMS systems to identify ongoing issues and common parts failures and come up with solutions to prevent outages.
• Reach out and work with vendors to set up trainings for team
• Work with team members and make sure we have the correct equipment on the jobs, and make sure that testing and calibration are performed when needed.
• Assist in monitoring sites and work with team to create W / O’s when needed.
• Work with safety to make sure your team has updated safety gear and any extra safety gear needed on site.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Valid Driver's License
• Insurable to operate company vehicles
• Minimum of 4-6 years of utility solar O&M experience
• OSHA 30
• NFPA 70E
• Leadership training
• High knowledge of MV equipment
• High knowledge of solar equipment inverters, optimizers, transformers, tracking systems, and dash cabinets
• HV / LV certifications
• Have great communication skills and good use of computers
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
• Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off shift hours and weekends.Schedule : Typical day will run from 8am to 5-5 : 30pm but will require ability to stay later to complete the job, work OT and weekends as needed.
