VCA North Portland Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician who is passionate about animal care and aspires to grow as a leader within our hospital!

Schedule : Full-time opportunity. 4 / 10’s flexible scheduling.

Compensation : $ 28 $ 36 / hour.

Pay is dependent on experience and licensure. Must have a current veterinary technician license in the state of Oregon or eligible to transfer / obtain a license in Oregon.

Key Responsibilities :

Patient Care : Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, including administering treatments, medications, and monitoring their recovery.

Anesthesia and Surgery : Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including anesthesia induction, monitoring, and post-operative care.

Diagnostics : Perform diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and radiographs, ensuring accurate results and timely processing.

Client Education : Engage with clients to provide clear communication on their pets’ health, treatment plans, and preventive care.

Record Keeping : Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.

Leadership and Mentorship : Mentor junior staff and help foster a collaborative, positive work environment. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to grow your leadership skills and potentially lead teams or projects.

Technician Utilization : Play a pivotal role in all areas of patient care, from routine exams to critical care cases, ensuring your technical skills are fully utilized.
