Position Summary :
- The Director of IT Support is responsible for the day to day operations of the IT help desk and field operations teams.
- This includes overseeing user support, managing incidents, and implementing the necessary processes and procedures to ensure timely support.
- This position also facilitates project management with the IT department.
Schedule :
Hybrid; 3 days in office, 2 days at home
Education :
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience :
- Seven to ten years of experience working in a business technology environment
- At least 5 years of management experience
Preferred Experience / Skills :
- Familiarity with IT customer support functions
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Experience with ITIL and / or other IT service frameworks
- Proficient use of Agile, Waterfall, or other project management techniques and tools to administer them
Certification / Licensure :
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Drivers License
- Valid Auto Insurance
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
- Managing the daily operations of the help desk and field support teams
- Managing Help Desk and Field Operations staff including hiring, training, scheduling work assignments and conducting evaluations.
- Responsible for project coordination and facilitation for IT
- Monitoring response times, evaluating user satisfaction levels and making recommendations for improvement
- Negotiating, writing and reporting on internal and external service-level agreements for BIT
- Communicates with business units on support needs and projects
- Builds relationships to make IT services more effective.
- Develop staff skills to increase technical competency and improve service.
- Monitor IT assets for compliance, security and budget accuracy.
- Other duties may be assigned according to qualification of staff and development of programs.
