Position Summary :

  • The Director of IT Support is responsible for the day to day operations of the IT help desk and field operations teams.
  • This includes overseeing user support, managing incidents, and implementing the necessary processes and procedures to ensure timely support.
  • This position also facilitates project management with the IT department.

Schedule :

Hybrid; 3 days in office, 2 days at home

Education :

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience :

  • Seven to ten years of experience working in a business technology environment
  • At least 5 years of management experience

Preferred Experience / Skills :

  • Familiarity with IT customer support functions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Experience with ITIL and / or other IT service frameworks
  • Proficient use of Agile, Waterfall, or other project management techniques and tools to administer them

Certification / Licensure :

  • At least 21 years old
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Valid Auto Insurance

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Managing the daily operations of the help desk and field support teams
  • Managing Help Desk and Field Operations staff including hiring, training, scheduling work assignments and conducting evaluations.
  • Responsible for project coordination and facilitation for IT
  • Monitoring response times, evaluating user satisfaction levels and making recommendations for improvement
  • Negotiating, writing and reporting on internal and external service-level agreements for BIT
  • Communicates with business units on support needs and projects
  • Builds relationships to make IT services more effective.
  • Develop staff skills to increase technical competency and improve service.
  • Monitor IT assets for compliance, security and budget accuracy.
  • Other duties may be assigned according to qualification of staff and development of programs.
