A CFA Manufacturing Shift Equipment Technician with onsemi in Nampa works on a shift team to support the manufacture of CMOS Image Sensors.
The primary responsibility of the is to sustain color filter array (CFA) manufacturing equipment, including photolithography, wet process, dry etch, metrology, and other fab support equipment.
The work to sustain the equipment includes scheduled preventive maintenance, repairs, engineering requests, and equipment / process qualification.
Shift : F-shift (6p 6a, Wed Friday and every other Saturday)
Responsibilities :
- Interact with the production team to react to manufacturing priorities throughout the shift
- Work with the CFA shift equipment team / CFA lead equipment technician to ensure equipment priorities for the shift are being addressed
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety policies and guidelines
- Properly and thoroughly document all equipment maintenance work performed using the Maintenance Manager (MaiMa) application and ensuring that equipment is logged to the proper E-10 state
- Properly and thoroughly document lot / wafer specifics that were not run through standard wafer processing.
- Ensuring equipment is released in a production-worthy state post-maintenance
- Apply sound troubleshooting when working on down equipment
- Obtain and maintain all required certifications for performing equipment maintenance
- Work with the tool owners to create / improve work instructions, procedures, and best known methods for performing equipment maintenance
- Learn statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis to monitor equipment-related control charts and react to out of control / specification (OOC / OOS) conditions
- Work with the process and equipment owners on action plans for area specific issues, including data collection and tool maintenance (PM) / repair.
- Ensure a thorough written and verbal pass down of shift activities, tool issues, process issues, and project status
- Keep lead engineer / production supervisor advised of area issues and progress
- Equipment to support includes : DNS / Screen coat & develop tracks and wet bench, Canon steppers, SPTS dry etch & CVD frame & chambers, Axcelis Fusion strip, STEAG wet bench, and various photo metrology tools.
Qualifications :
- Associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience
- Experience with DNS / Screen coat and develop tracks and Canon steppers is a plus
- Understanding of CFA processing and SPC is a plus
- Ability to perform duties in a clean room environment, working with chemicals (photoresists, solvents, and wet process equipment
- Willingness to work a 12-hour shift, which can include weekends, nights, and holidays (note that the shifts do rotate between night shift and day-shift every 4 months)
- Willingness to work overtime when requested
- Ability to work well both independently (self-motivated) and on a team
- Ability to follow written or verbal work instructions
