The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in a high paced production stamping environment.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance on mechanical presses, press line related equipment, conveyor systems, overhead cranes, and various production machines;
following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with Safety procedures, rules, and regulations
- Perform preventative tasks associated on heavy industrial manufacturing equipment
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
- Proficient in rigging / lifting fundamentals required for large equipment replacements
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
shift 6am to 2pm - $27 to $32 / hr but flexible.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- 2+ years Mechanical Maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Knowledgeable of good safety practices and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years Mechanical Maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Journeyman level skills supported by the successful completion of a Journeyman Mechanical Training Program or Mechanical Training Apprenticeship Program
- Experience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatic equipment
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Must be able and comfortable to work in a heavy-industrial environment
- Must be able to or have the ability to be trained on operating Powered Industrial Lift Trucks
- Must be able to or have the ability to be trained on operating MEWP's (scissor lifts / aerial lifts / articulating boom lifts
- Must be able to work from heights
- Must be able to work standing up 80% of the time
- Must be able to walk to work locations 100% of the time
- Must be able to climb ladders to access locations
- Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel and reach below / above shoulders to access equipment for repair
- Must be able to lift tools, parts and equipment up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Must be able to operate hand and power tools without assistance
- Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
- Must be able to work from ladders and scaffolding
- Must be have physical ability to enter confined spaces after completing all required training.
