Position Summary
Controls Engineering design position for the design of custom tooling and equipment.
Role Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in electrical controls design
- Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN
- Strong knowledge of electrical control system design principles and methodologies
- Experience with industrial automation and control systems
- Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Position Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial machinery, automation systems, and other applicationsDevelop control system architecture, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layoutsSelect and specify electrical components, such as PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and actuatorsDesign network architecture and specify network componentsCollaborate with engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure control systems meet project requirementsDocument design specifications, technical drawings, and test resultsStay current with industry trends and advancements in electrical control system technologyAdapt to both customer and internal design standardsOccasionally travel to customer sitesEssential Skills and Experience
