Senior Project Manager, Schedule Recovery - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, Ohio

BWXT is seeking a Senior Project Manager to own the Schedule Recovery initiative. Successful candidates will have the ability to navigate multiple departments, identify / drive urgent activates, and hold teams accountable, to accelerate the manufacturing schedule on any components.

This individual will also be able to expedite and achieve manufacturing milestones on time and on budget. Ideal candidates must have a strong executive presence and the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

This role will have high visibility and a strong potential for upward mobility.

Responsibilities include :

Directs and coordinates the Schedule Recovery initiative across multiple departments

Ensures manufacturing milestones are met on time and on budget

Recognizes opportunities for operational / process improvement and develops MoVE’ projects to address through new technologies, data driven solutions, and collaboration

Requires in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in manufacturing engineering and basic knowledge of shop floor front line management and other disciplines

Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges

Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems that impact effectiveness

Applies understanding of the industry to improve effectiveness, provide guidance and influence processes and policies

Job Requirements / Qualifications :

5 years of project management experience or relevant experience that indicates the ability to urgently drive manufacturing progress.

Requires BS / BA in engineering, business or related field.

MBA and / or PMP is a plus.

Previous experience as a program manager or project manager.

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is desired.
