our core business of cross border tax refunds. VAT IT has been involved in the indirect tax industry for over 15 years. We service many types of institutional clients including Banks, Mining Houses, Industrial and Telecommunication Businesses.

Job Description :

VAT IT is looking for a senior sales director to take a lead role in expanding our presence in the North American region.

This is an individual contributor sales role that is focused on generating new business. We want to build our network and brand in the market so overall presence at events and roundtables and assistance in developing suitable content for the market is required.

Main duties include :

  • Researching opportunities for VAT IT services with prospective clients
  • Working with Business Development Executive (BDE) team to determine appropriate sales strategy, contacts and outreach approach
  • Building a new business pipeline through prospecting, meeting with potential clients and running with the actual sales from initial meeting to contract execution (including analyzing commercials to ensure we maximize value from all deals)
  • Preparing material for potential clients including board presentations, running with RFPs and related sales documents
  • Owning annual sales targets and striving to achieve and exceeds sales targets at all times
  • Building the VAT IT brand through event attendance, publishing content, showcasing our capabilities and networking in the market
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks;

and participating in professional societies

Required Skills :

  • Previous experience in sales to the investment management industry particularly asset managers and pension funds
  • At least 5 years enterprise sales working on deals with a minimum deal size £250k and annual targets above £1.5M
  • Minimum 7+ years sales experience with proven track record of closing large deals
  • Strong network and existing contacts in the industry
  • Experience selling SaaS / tech / services
  • Ability to engage clients at all levels from administrators to C-level contacts
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills as well as communication skills
  • Proactive, creative, and highly motivated approach to achieving results
