Survey Technician A. Job Responsibilities As a Survey Technician, you will be responsible for working with layouts, lines and grades and provide assistance in a fast-paced environment.

B. Job Functions Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities Excellent organizational skills Professional in all aspects of his / her behavior.

Good Communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be self-motivated and work without direct supervision.

Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

C. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned . Qualified applicants would possess the skills for project layout using Topcon robotic total stations.

Topcon base and Rover GPS systems using Topcon MAGNET field and Topcon Pocket 3D software. Conduct field layouts and surveying activities.

Establish exterior-interior grade and working lines for contractors or crafts. Assist in the evaluation of potential dimensions and other field problems.

May oversee some subcontractor work activities, as assigned. Must be able to work at elevated heights, frequently lift materials weighing up to 70 lbs and work in outside all weather conditions.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, shop drawings, procedure manuals, and safety rules.

E. Education and Experience High School diploma or GED is required. Three (3) years related experience preferred. Experience in Komatsu intelligent machine use Willingness and ability to travel to and from job sites.
