We are seeking dedicated and qualified Masters Level Social Workers to join our team in Lansing, MI for the 2024-2025 school year.
The successful candidates will provide intervention support to special education students in various group settings as well as one-on-one.
Position Details :
Location : Lansing, MI
Position : Social Worker (Masters Level)
Schedule : 37.5 hours per week
Dates : Approx. 08 / 05 / 2024 - 06 / 09 / 2025
Hourly Wage : TBD (Based on experience)
Caseload :
K-12 : Potential assignments include Elementary (K-6), Middle School, or High School (7-12) depending on current availability at the school.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide intervention support to special education students in small or moderate group settings and one-on-one.
Develop and implement individualized support plans for students.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student well-being and progress.
Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Utilize evidence-based practices and interventions to support students' social and emotional development.
Foster a supportive and inclusive school environment that encourages student growth.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in school social work.
Qualifications :
Master's degree in Social Work.
Fully licensed and MDE certified Social Worker.
Temporary or Full Approval through the Michigan Department of Education (or SSW 310 credential letter from university).
Michigan State Social Worker license through LARA.
Experience working with special education students is preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
Onsite candidates are preferred, but virtual candidates will be accepted.
Virtual candidates must reside in Michigan due to required state fingerprinting that must be completed within the state.
